Who I Am & Why ReConnected Life Exists
Hello, I’m Emily, founder of ReConnected Life and, at my heart, simply another woman who’s walked the hard road of surviving trauma. If you’re reading this, perhaps you’ve felt splintered or exhausted by experiences that sometimes feel too raw to name. Maybe, like me, you’ve wondered if it’s possible not just to get through the day, but to gently piece yourself back together and rediscover who you are beneath it all.
This space exists because I once needed it, too.
A Survivor’s Beginning
My journey into this work doesn’t start with textbooks or shiny credentials, it begins with my own lived reality. I’m a survivor of rape, a “bad date” that nearly broke my spirit and for a long time, shaped the way I saw myself. I’m also neurodiverse, highly sensitive, and live with MS, chronic pain, and all the untidiness of perimenopause. These are not footnotes; they are what brought me to the work I do. Healing wasn’t linear, or tidy, or something handed to me by a professional with all the answers. For years, I tried to “fix” what I thought was irreparably damaged. I wanted to be someone else, to fit someone’s idea of who a “recovered” woman should be.
It took time, and plenty of messy, honest reflection, to realise I was never broken. I was wounded, yes, but wounds heal. Even when it’s slow. Even when it feels impossible.
Why I Created ReConnected Life
ReConnected Life was born from that realisation. I wanted to create a space for women carrying trauma, whether from violence, illness, neurodiversity or life’s relentless challenges, who need more than another clinical solution. I dreamed of a corner of the internet where survivors could be met exactly as they are, free from “shoulds,” shame, or the pressure to perform healing on anyone else’s timeline. Everything I offer is shaped by honesty, lived experience, and the radical belief that you deserve joy, not just survival.
This isn’t about being positive all the time or striving to “get over it.” It’s about welcoming every part of your story, making room for the tenderness and the rage, for numbness and hope alike. You do not have to earn rest, comfort, or belonging here.
Trauma-Informed, Survivor-Led Support
My qualifications include being an NLP Master Practitioner, Certified One of Many Women’s Coach, trauma-safe workplace consultant, and International Coach Federation (ICF) certified. But the core of my work is this: I have lived it. I understand how trauma can spill out as anxiety, anger, numbness, or self-doubt. I know what it’s like to feel “too much” or “too complicated” for the standard boxes.
That’s why everything I create, every course, every resource, every post, centres on making healing accessible, flexible, and rooted in reality, not just theory. There’s no pressure to be ready, or to “do things right.” At ReConnected Life, there’s space for messy, gradual healing.

For Anyone Reading This: You Are Welcome
If you’ve ever felt “too much,” “too slow,” or “too messy” in your healing, you have found your place. You don’t need to be fixed or perfect. There’s no need to be further along than you are. Your feelings, however tangled, are valid. Your desire for comfort or hope, even in tiny moments, is enough.
I say this often, and I mean it: You’re not too much. You’re not too late. You’re exactly where you need to be.
Whenever you’re ready, whether that means reading quietly, sending a message, or joining our community, you are so welcome. No pressure. Just an open door, and the reassurance that all of your story is safe here.
With warmth and care,
Emily
